Lawyers
In regards to child abduction, custody, and visitation you might want to think carefully before retaining a lawyer. Judges always rule in favor of the status quo. They will never make a ruling to change the status of the current situation. The person who kidnaps the child first is the winner. No matter how unethical or immoral that sounds it is TRUE. I have only spoken to 4 lawyers in Japan and I don’t not recommend any of them. However, if you need a lawyer please click on the link below. It was provided by the US embassy in Tokyo.

Can you please put me in touch with Professor Colin Jones? I wish to discuss a Japan to US abduction, the Hague Convention and the Japanese Family Law system with him.
